“Things That Make You Go, ‘Hmmm'” – C+C Music Factory

If you’ve been following along, you may remember that I once mentioned that I don’t believe in coincidences.

Things happen for a reason, especially the things that appear to be completely obscure.

In fact, well I believe anyway, the more “random”, or seemingly insignificant, events that take place are the ones you should probably pay the most attention to. These strange occurrences are signs, and they are specifically given for the individual to dwell upon. Do you recall how I also once mentioned that messages sent to us from other realms aren’t “cut-and-dry”, meaning they won’t be initially obvious? (Check with this previous post for a better explanation and background information if you haven’t.) Well, what we humans deem as mere “coincidences” are perfect examples of such messages.
.
.
The obscurity of such events is purposeful. They “freak-your-freak” (a term used frequently by my mom), if you will, because they are relevant to your own unique circumstance. The messenger is trying to get your attention directly. These senders want us to ask “what are the chances I would stumble upon such a find?” Our eyes growing wide, the freezing in our tracks, the catch of our breaths? All appropriate reactions and strong indicators that a reflection is necessary!
.
.
I like to think that my spirits, guardians and passed loved one, take enjoyment in watching my face and body language when I stumble across their signals. The big messages that take me off-guard are the ones that they use others as mouthpieces for. It has to be one of their favorites. For as long as I can remember, people I interact with, stranger and close friend alike, have let slip the most eerie and relevant snippets. Something I’ve prayed about or meditated on being used in casual conversation soon after the fact.
.
.
I’m not going lie and say I don’t love it though.
.
.
I love the thrill that comes with being struck with those aforementioned reactions; the warmth that spreads throughout my entire being with the reassurance that I’m still being looked after and cared for.
.
.
Though my main obstacle right now is trying to differentiate the times when my spirits are actually interfering or if I’m predicting certain outcomes. For example, last night I was talking to a group of my peers on my college campus. One was a friend of mine who I speak to occasionally (we have completely different schedules and friend circles) and the other two present were friends of her’s who I never met before. We got to talking about people we were “talking-to” and I brought up someone who fit the category, but who hasn’t been in contact for a while. It was a brief mention before we ended up changing topics and I didn’t think much of it. There was such a small chance she would have known who I was referring to and would have cared enough to fill in when I wasn’t around. Lo-and-behold! An hour later, guess who I received a text message from?
.
.
It certainly “freaked-my-freak” and my reactions were perfect, but not something I would categorize as a “message”.
.
.
My ability to predict has always been evident (I can remember having that ability as far back as elementary school) though it has been growing stronger since I came out to terms with the truth about “coincidences”. Allowing myself to r&m has made all the difference in every aspect of my spirituality.
.
.
Do you ever:
  • Look at the clock and notice you tend to catch it on a certain time?
  • Sing a song in your head moments before it plays on the radio, Pandora, or Spotify?
  • Think about a certain memory that concerns a friend or family member, only to have them bring it up on their own?
.
.
The first circumstance I’ve been told is because that number on the clock holds significance. Something I believe hardheartedly in because mine is 9:11, but I was curious about what drives that instinct. Is it an urge from spirit, or a type of prediction caused through the bond one shares with that symbol? I’m still debating this, but I include it with the list of common “predictions”.
.
.
Would love to hear about everyone’s so-called strange occurrences, whether received message or result of personal capability. So it would have it, I just received one right now as I’m typing this up! In my last post I talked about how, on the 23rd, I’ll be doing an October countdown with mention of previous festivities. I’m working on that list now, and was trying to remember specific dates these events took place. I went on Facebook because my phone said I had a notification, scrolled down my timeline and saw an advertisement for one of the places I’m going to write about! And under the caption? The date I visited last year because I “checked-in” on Facebook at the time.
.
.
Cool right? ;] My spirits are honestly the best, and I’m getting super pumped about all the fun going to be had this year. In fact my Pandora just did an ad for a hayride. I’m about it!
.
.
Until then…
